For the past few months, Paperkite has been lucky to have intern Gabrielle Daigneault, a senior at nearby SUNY Oneonta, work with our team. Gabby has attended our virtual morning staff meetings and enthusiastically jumped into the world of marketing, focusing on social media management and learning about SEM tactics, as well.
“I definitely would like to learn more about the ins and outs of marketing. Now that I have a good general understanding of the various components, I think there’s still much to learn about strategy and measuring outcomes.”

What career path do you see yourself taking after college? Is it similar or vastly different from what you imagined for yourself when you were younger?
With graduation looming, I still don’t know exactly what career path I want to take! I know I want to do something related to marketing, whether that be social media management or content writing, but I’m not quite sure. When I was younger I never really had a plan about my future career, but writing and creativity have always been my strong suits, so it makes sense that my potential career paths reflect those attributes!
Where do you turn when you’re in need of inspiration? Is it a favorite musician, writer, outdoor activity, or something else?
Whenever I feel stuck, I typically like to take a walk or talk it out! Changing up my scenery definitely helps reset my state of mind, but often talking to someone about what I’m working on is the best way to get the creative juices flowing. I feel like talking through my projects out loud helps me organize my thoughts, like what I’ve done and what my goals are, which I guess frees up room in my head for new ideas!
We have so enjoyed having Gabby be part of the Paperkite team this semester. She has impressed us all with her eagerness to learn and her ability to pivot to different tasks, depending on what was needed on a particular day. While Gabby might not have her exact career path narrowed down, one thing is certain: whatever Gabby chooses, her future will be bright!
